Johary Mustapha

Johary Mustapha, CEO, Forest Interactive

Johary Mustapha is an entrepreneur involved in the mobile and tech industry. A hands-on technical person, he founded Forest Interactive in 2006 from his earlier background of working with Broadcasting and ICT companies. Johary has a long historical understanding of the mobile industry and its growth in South East Asia. His vast experience in the business has enabled him to grow the company to a diverse workforce of 180 talents expanding market reach across 33 countries. Recently, Johary was awarded as the Young Entrepreneur of The Year at the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability Awards in recognition of his efforts in bridging the gap between mobile operators, subscribers and content providers while tapping into markets in developing countries providing opportunity for local employment and mobile purchasing capabilities. Corporate sustainability projects in fostering future innovators through tech ed roadshows is his notable advocacy.

Julian Gorman

Julian Gorman, Head of Asia Pacific, GSMA

Julian is the Head of Asia Pacific for the GSMA, leading a highly experienced cross functional team to advance the impact, growth and sustainability of digital economies by collaboration between the mobile industry, policy makers and ecosystem. He is a global telecommunications executive with over 20 years of commercial and marketing experience across Wholesale, Business, Regulatory, Policy and Digital Transformation. He has pioneered new digital partnerships and business units in mature and emerging markets across Africa, Europe, Australia and Asia with industry leaders including Vodafone, MTN and Ooredoo. As advisor to management executive teams and Boards he has extensive insight and relationships to support collaboration and delivery of industry alignment. He has been recognised for his leadership in digital innovation, digital women, health and agriculture services with industry awards and grants. Julian has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Law from Australia.

Kevin Pang

Kevin Pang, Head of Strategy, GSMA Greater China

Kevin Pang has joined GSMA since Feb 2016. In this role, Kevin is responsible for developing regional strategy and managing impactful local industry executive relationships in China. He is also promoting GSMA 5G/IoT/eSIM programme regionally. Prior to the GSMA, Kevin held position of Head of Marketing at Nokia Networks Greater China. He has 20 years of experience of management in telecom industry with proven track record in driving business strategy, product strategy and marketing campaign. He served in several technology, services, sales and marketing positions in Nokia Networks and Ericsson before. Kevin received an MBA in Guanghua School of Management from Peking University.

David An

David An, CTO, Director, ZTE Global Marketing Center

David An leads ZTE’s Singapore-based Asia-Pacific Marketing Center. He has more than 19 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications field. Furthermore, he has represented ZTE as a key speaker in ITU and telecommunications technology conferences/exhibitions for many times. Joined ZTE in 2003 as a marketing manager, he worked in international wireless technical marketing of the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining ZTE, Mr. An worked as Product Marketing Director in Nortel Networks, Singapore and Senior Engineer in Ericsson China in different periods. Mr. An has been taking the current CTO role ever since 2010. Prior to that, he was Marketing Director in Asia Pacific in charge of wireless business development. David An graduated from the Tsinghua University, China with a master’s degree in 1988 and from the Nanyang Technology University, Singapore with a master’s degree in 1995.
