Read below for important information you need to be aware of prior to attending MWC Shanghai 2021.

New Registration and Access Information for MWC Shanghai 2021

Registration and access arrangements for Mainland Chinese visitors and non-Mainland Chinese visitors* are stated in the below. All attendees must self-register.

*including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan

Mandatory ID collection

Mainland Chinese Visitors
Chinese ID Card number and Chinese Name on ID Card to be provided during registration. A real time ID verification check will be performed (during the registration process).
Non-Mainland Chinese Visitors
Passport or travel permit number and full name will be requested during the registration process.

Event Badge

Mainland Chinese Visitors
Digital badge will be made available in your GSMA WeChat Account after your identity has been verified at the ID gate. Bind with WeChat during registration or register via WeChat
Non-Mainland Chinese Visitors
A Printed badge will be provided after an identity verification check has been completed at the registration desks.

Before the event Check-List

Mainland Chinese Visitors
• Ensure you have completed your registration
• Bring your Shanghai Health Code with you in order to enter the venue
• Open your digital badge in advance to ensure it is ready for use (Note: it will not be activated until your ID has been verified at the event)
• Bring the same ID which you provided at registration with you to the event. Without this and your Shanghai Health Code you will be denied entry.
Non-Mainland Chinese Visitors
• Ensure you have completed your registration
Download your Shanghai Health Code app (in order to enter the venue)
• Bring your passport/travel permit with you to the event. Without this and your Shanghai Health Code, you will be denied entry.

Accessing the venue

Mainland Chinese Visitors
• Wear a mask
• Have your temperature taken at the event
access point (<37.3℃)
• Tap your Chinese ID Card at the Facial Recognition ID gates
• Open your digital badge
Non-Mainland Chinese Visitors
• Wear a Mask
• Have your temperature taken at the event access point (<37.3℃)
• Approach our registration counter. Present your Passport/Travel permit for ID verification and recording and have your photo taken
• A printed badge will be issued
• Tap your printed badge at the Facial Recognition ID gates

What time should I be there at the venue on 23-25 February?

Attendees with with extended hour access:
8:00am onwards

09:00am onwards

To avoid unnecessary waiting time outside North Hall,
please do not arrive before the designated time stated above

New Event Registrations and Registration Opening Hours*

Complete your pre-registration prior to arriving at the venue and avoid unnecessary waiting time onsite.  You will be asked to register onsite using your own personal mobile device.
