Dr. Alexander Goldin is the founder and CEO of Alango Technologies, a leading supplier of voice/audio enhancement DSP technologies for a wide variety of consumer electronics devices.
Dr. Goldin was born in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), Russia in 1959. He received his Ph.D. in physics and applied mathematics in 1990 from the Institute for Analytical Instrumentation of the Russian Academy of Science.
In 1994, Dr. Goldin became involved in acoustic signal processing at the IBM Research Lab in Haifa (Israel). He later served as Director of Voice Processing technologies at Altec Lansing Inc. Before founding Alango, Dr. Goldin served as Chief Technology Officer and VP of speech processing technologies at ALST, a joint venture between Altec Lansing Inc. and STMicroelectronics.
Dr. Goldin is an active developer and promoter of affordable hearing enhancement solutions that provide a versatile and yet affordable alternative to traditional hearing aids. He has presented his ideas at the Mobile World Congress (Augmented Human session), annual conferences of the Hearing Loss Association of America and Audiology Now, Speech for Health, and several other international events.
