Emeka Obiodu is Strategy Director and the Project Lead for GSMA’s 5G Taskforce. He works with C-level executives across the industry, senior policymakers, government ministers and leading academicians on strategy, consulting and advisory projects in the telecoms and technology industries. He has authored/co-authored over 500 reports, articles & presentations on the global telecoms and technology industries. In 2016/17, he led the project to engage with the 750 CEOs of all mobile operators in the world to prepare an industry vision for the 5G era. In 2018/19, he led the project to develop the 5G Guide, the industry’s first 5G reference document.
Emeka is a prolific public speaker. He regularly delivers presentations at events; has been interviewed regularly on TV, print or online (e.g. Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC, Sky, Reuters, Dow Jones, WSJ & FT); and is frequently invited as a guest speaker at Universities (e.g. King’s College, Warwick, City and Coventry). He has a BEng from FUTO Nigeria, an MSc in Telecoms from QM University of London, and an MBA from the Warwick Business School. His current PhD candidacy at Kings College London is focused on 5G era network optimization.
