Description

Grace Chan is Head of Product and Innovation and Senior Vice President of Mastercard China. She has been an 18 year Financial Services veteran across the US, Asia Pacific and China market specializes in cards and account Payment and consumer financial services/Banking. Experienced working with physical and digital merchants globally to drive business expansion and diversify revenue stream. Strong strategic Business Development mentality, Product Management expertise and P&L ownership experience. She is also the proud winner of the Women in Wealth Awards 2017 by Wealth & Finance Magazine.

In her current role, Grace is responsible for all Product and Innovation strategy across consumer/commercial products, digital solutions, loyalty, and data services. She is also responsible for the product development and success roll out of those product and services to forge closer relationship with key customers (Banks, 3rd Party Payment companies, Merchants, SMEs, Corporates, and Governments) and enhance Mastercard’s share and position through partnership and innovation. She works closely with the sales and technology organization and her counterparts across region and global to enable the best payment experience for banks, consumers and corporates. She successfully drove the market transformation to achieving a 100+ people strong product and technology team on the ground for agile product development to support the digital advanced market needs in China. For more than 5 years, she was the Head of Market Development of Greater China for Mastercard (China, HK and Taiwan). In that capacity, Ms. Chan overseas the pricing/interchange strategy and strategic partnership development with key merchants (locally and globally across the Airline, Hotels, Supermarkets, Travel, Digital industry) to enhance MasterCard’s position in the development of alternate payments.

Ms. Chan worked in HSBC for close to a decade where she held a range of roles across business development, portfolio management, product development in the cards business, as well as retail bank branch management and private bank across East Coast/West Coast and MidWest in the U.S. Prior to HSBC, she also worked in ZS Associate in Illinois U.S. providing business solutions to pharmaceutical companies to enhance Sales force optimization and improve business processes.

Ms. Chan graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, majored in Industrial and Operations Engineering and is currently living in Shanghai China with her husband and daughter.
