Tim Metz is the marketing director at KaiOS Technologies, the company behind a fast-growing, global ecosystem of affordable digital products and services.
In this role, Tim is responsible for developing the global marketing and communications strategies to accelerate deployment of the company’s flagship mobile operating system, KaiOS. Being a versatile leader and marketing enthusiast, he oversees the overall brand strategy, digital marketing, public relations and events, as well as Kai’s research activities.
Under his guidance, KaiOS Technologies has built itself into a recognized brand in the global telecommunications and technology sectors, helping Kai secure and consolidate partnerships with industry giants like Google, Facebook, and Twitter; as well as facilitate the launch of over 100 million KaiOS-powered devices worldwide.
With more than 20 years of experience, Tim has a proven track record in successfully leading marketing operations, establishing global brands from scratch, and recruiting key talent.
Before joining KaiOS, Tim cofounded and led Saent, a company that helps build strong work habits through software tools and physical products. He also cofounded Sherpa Media, a video production company where he led all the production, creative direction, and strategic business development. Earlier in his career, he held management positions in media, entertainment, digital marketing, and music industries.
Tim is highly motivated and passionate about building brands around a meaningful. ambitious mission, and then communicating their fascinating stories to the world.
