Speaker Story

Qunbi Zhuge is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is named as “Innovators Under 35” in China by MIT Technology Review in 2020. He received the B.S. degree in Optical Engineering in 2009, from Zhejiang University, China, and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from McGill University, Canada, in 2012 and 2015, respectively. His current research interests include backbone optical transmission systems, data center interconnects, B5G/6G optical technologies. He is PI and Co-PI of several national research grants. He published more than 150 papers in international journals and conferences. He holds positions as associate editors and chairs for various journals and conferences. He is a recipient of many international awards including the OFC 2020 Corning outstanding student paper competition grand prize.
