Jean-Louis Carrara leads Global Sales at Kigen, the forerunner in secure eSIM and RSP solutions, enabling manufacturers to adopt and scale cellular IoT with ease across international markets. He works closely with some of the world’s most innovative manufacturers to support market entry, long-term growth, and strategic partnerships across sectors ranging from wearables and consumer devices to industrial infrastructure and smart energy.
Jean-Louis brings deep international commercial and industry experience built over decades at the forefront of mobile and secure connectivity. Before joining Kigen, he served as VP Europe at SK C&C CorFire, where he worked with leading global operators and enterprises including Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, and Shell. He also held senior leadership roles at Gemalto in North America, now part of Thales, where he supported Tier 1 U.S. mobile network operators in deploying SIM-based services, remote provisioning, and secure payment solutions. Over the course of his career, Jean-Louis has witnessed and contributed to the transformation of the U.S. cellular industry from the early days of SIM adoption, when only a small share of mobile devices used SIM technology, to today’s fully connected mainstream market. His experience gives him a rare understanding of how connectivity technologies mature, scale, and create competitive advantage across regions. He has also served on the board of 4G Americas, now 5G Americas. Having lived and worked across three continents, Jean-Louis is recognized as an international business leader with deep cross-cultural experience and a strong track record of helping global technology companies expand successfully into new markets.
