Environmental Programme
Improving every year
We have been certified carbon neutral from 2015 to 2025. and MWC Shanghai 2025 was officially certified by Aenor International under the international PAS 2060 standard.
We are constantly working on new initiatives and aim to generate the least waste possible by recycling most of the event material.
What is the environmental programme?
Our environmental programme focuses on five areas:
- Energy
- Production and waste
- Food and waste food
- Logistics
- Travel and accommodation
These areas have been designed to align with six of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) - Affordable and clean energy, Climate action, Responsible consumption and production, Zero hunger, Reduced inequalities and Industry, innovation and infrastructure.

Wherever possible, our suppliers and exhibitors to minimise their impact on the environment
