Speaker Bio
Dr. Yu Su currently serves as Vice President of China Mobile Chengdu Institute of Research and Development. He is Co-Chair of the GSMA Drone Interest Group, a Senior Member of the IEEE, and a Fellow of the China Institute of Communications. Dr. Su received his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University and has published more than 20 SCI/EI-indexed papers as first author.
As the Chief Architect of China Mobile’s 5G cellular-connected drone R&D initiative, Dr. Su led the development of China’s first integrated 5G-based cloud-network-terminal system for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). His work includes the creation of “Hubble One,” China’s first dedicated 5G onboard communication terminal for UAVs; “China Mobile Link Cloud,” the country’s first 5G-based cloud management and operation platform for drones; and a 5G network providing coverage for designated UAV airspace. These products and solutions have been deployed across multiple industries in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Greece.
