Francis Fang serves as Senior Manager of Vertical Partnership Development, Ecosystem Engagement at GSMA Greater China, overseeing the Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) sector since 2026.
Based at GSMA, Mr. Fang drive ICV ecosystem construction across Greater China. His core responsibilities cover regional market outreach and partnership cultivation, the founding of GSMA’s Greater China ICV Community, as well as mobilizing core industrial players to participate in MWC Shanghai and GSMA global flagship events in the capacity of exhibitors, sponsors and members.
As a member of GSMA Greater China’s ecosystem team, he takes charge of expanding local strategic alliances, facilitating innovative commercial cooperation, and maintaining liaison with automotive industry associations and institutions alongside other high-potential vertical industries.
Before joining GSMA, Mr. Fang held successive business development management roles at Geely Motor, GM China, Magna Steyr China, Ford Asia Pacific & China and Shanghai OnStar. He boasts a proven track record in facilitating strategic partnerships, delivering cross-border and cross-functional projects, developing robust automotive industrial networks, and tapping new commercial opportunities spanning intelligent connected vehicles, digital mobility services, OEM overseas expansion, contract manufacturing and operational management.
As a Shanghai native, Mr. Fang earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Science and Engineering from Shanghai University. He currently resides in Shanghai with his spouse and 2 kids.
