Zhang Ranmao holds a Master’s degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He has long held leadership positions in innovative connected vehicle (IoV) businesses at China Unicom, with 18 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and 10 years in the IoV sector. He is one of the earliest practitioners in China’s IoV industry.
Currently, he serves as Chairman & CEO of China Unicom Smart Connection Technology Limited. He has led numerous IoV projects for well-known international and domestic automakers, and participated in multiple intelligent connected pilot projects based on 5G and V2X networks. He possesses deep understanding and insight into IoV commercial scenarios as well as communication and network technologies.
Zhang Ranmao is a key leader in the company’s customer expansion and IoV business promotion. He has helped the company achieve over 70% market share in the pre-installed automotive segment and the largest scale of connected vehicles nationwide. He also led the development of China’s largest IoV call center service, enabling the company to become a leading online store service provider in the country, thereby solidifying the company’s industry-leading position.
