We have been certified carbon neutral from 2015 to 2021. and MWC Shanghai 2023 was officially certified by Aenor International under the international PAS 2060 standard, reinforcing its position as the largest carbon-neutral exhibition and conference in Asia.
We are constantly working on new initiatives, and aim to generate the least waste possible by recycling or donating the majority of event material.
What is the environmental programme?
Our environmental programme focuses on five areas:
- Energy
- Production and waste
- Food and waste food
- Logistics
- Travel and accommodation
These areas have been designed to align with six of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) - Affordable and clean energy, Climate action, Responsible consumption and production, Zero hunger, Reduced inequalities and Industry, innovation and infrastructure.
