Taicang, capitalizes on Germany Cooperation and Riverside Location Near Shanghai to forge ahead in Low-Altitude Economy.
Leveraging its strengths in German cooperation and its strategic riverside location adjacent to Shanghai, Taicang has proactively laid out plans for low-altitude economic development. It became one of the first cities to introduce a Low-Altitude Economy Action Plan and dedicated policies, unveiling ten major application scenarios for the sector.
The city has since established Suzhou’s first and Jiangsu’s second civil drone test flight and operations base, launched a CAAC-certified drone training institution, and pioneered a civil unmanned aircraft pilot zone. To date, Taicang has attracted over 110 low-altitude economy enterprises specializing in manufacturing, application, and service support.
Looking ahead, Taicang aims to become a hub for low-altitude innovation commercialization in the Yangtze River Delta and a demonstration zone for the low-altitude economy, setting a benchmark for regional development.
