Entry Requirements for MWC26 Shanghai
Your checklist for entry to MWC26 Shanghai
Here’s a handy checklist to guide your entry into the event this year - it is essential you follow and complete these steps before arriving at the event:
Step 1 Complete your registration with Chinese ID or passport/travel permit
It is mandatory for all MWC Shanghai attendees to be fully pre-registered online before arriving at the event.
Due to government registration rules & regulations, all attendees must self-register and insert their identity card/passport/travel permit number during the registration process. For Mainland Chinese visitors, real-time ID verification will be completed at the point of registration.
For Mainland Chinese attendees, you may register via WeChat which gives you easy access to your Digital Access Pass. Your Digital Access Pass is available in the GSMA WeChat Official Account. Please do not register via WeChat on another attendees’ behalf as the registration account will be linked with your WeChat account.
Please see our FAQs for more information.
Step 2 Download the MWC Series App
The MWC Series App ensures attendees can make the most of their experience by easily organising their schedule, enjoy networking features, joining conferences and getting inspiration from some of the most influential leaders from our industry.
In 2026, the all-new Chinese edition of the MWC Series app is tailored for attendees of MWC Shanghai. Your Digital Access Pass will be available in the MWC Series App prior to the event. Download it now!
Step 3 Ensure you can access your Digital Access Pass
If you register via WeChat, your Digital Access Pass is available in the GSMA WeChat Official Account. Scan the QR code on the right to get your Digital Access Pass ready.
You can also access your Digital Access Pass via the MWC Series App. If you have difficulties downloading the app, the Digital Access Pass is also available in your registration account.
