Information

APT Mobile SatCom Limited, established July 2016 with 2 billion RMB capital, is a national high-tech enterprise operating Ku/Ka-band civil commercial geostationary high-throughput satellites (HTS). It provides HTS services for maritime, aviation, and land. Headquartered in Shenzhen Bao’an, it has ground gateway and TT&C stations in Beijing, Xi’an, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, and Perth.

Its first satellite, APSTAR-6D (“Shenzhen Star”), is the world’s first HTS customized for broadband. With 50Gbps capacity—an order of magnitude higher than traditional satellites—it offers the largest capacity, most beams, widest coverage, and strongest Ku/Ka signals among Chinese civil/commercial satellites. Positioned at 134°E, it covers one-third of the Asia-Pacific region (including China, Russia, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii), providing gigabit-level for ships and hundred-megabit-level for aircraft.

The company provides 24/7 services to global customers across China, East Asia, Southeast Asia, Oceania, Europe, and the Americas. Led by Chief Scientist Academician Sun Jiadong, its team includes academician advisors and PhD/MS holders. It hosts an academician workstation, CNSA Satellite Communication System Innovation Center, Guangdong provincial engineering research center, Shenzhen postdoctoral base, and a branch of the State Key Laboratory of Integrated Space-Ground Information Technology. The company holds over 100 patents, papers, and software copyrights.
