Speaker Bio
Vijay Tailor is a Technical Manager within the Connected Manufacturing and Production community at GSMA. He has been at the forefront of emerging manufacturing technologies, including wireless communication, IoT, big data, artificial intelligence, and 5G.
Driven by a passion for addressing environmental challenges, Vijay leverages technology and science to support sustainability initiatives. He actively contributes to efforts that encourage mobile network operators, enterprises, and the broader ecosystem to harness the benefits of 5G and accelerate the global adoption of mobile technologies.
As part of his role, Vijay has contributed to the development of whitepapers—most notably on Network APIs—and regularly participates in industry roundtables to foster dialogue and collaboration across the mobile and manufacturing sectors.
Before his current role, Vijay held various positions in Manufacturing Engineering, Sustainable Materials Development, and Scaling. His experience spans OEM industrial equipment, printed electronics, sustainable packaging solutions, and IoT-based sensing technologies—contributing to the advancement of wireless communication technologies.
Vijay is also deeply engaged in industry groups and networks, fostering collaboration among industry, government stakeholders, and academia to support research and development, cooperation, and commercialisation.
