Founder, Chairman and CEO of NPCTEK. He also serves as the Deputy Head of the Computing Architecture and Chip Development Group of Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance(AIIA), and the Vice President of the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Technology Association.
Mr. Chu Qing is a veteran Chinese technology executive with three decades of leadership across wireless communications, integrated‑circuit (IC) design and artificial‑intelligence (AI). He ran Huawei’s earliest wireless R&D, steered Datang Mobile and HiSilicon through first‑of‑a‑kind handset‑chip launches, created Huawei’s internal incubator. After that, he rose to Vice‑President & Chief Strategy Officer at Huawei, headed Zhangjiang Laboratory’s Microelectronics Research Institute, serves as Vice‑Chairman of the Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association, and has led UNISOC—the country’s largest independent mobile‑chip vendor—as Chief Executive Officer. He also co‑founded national‑level initiatives such as the Green Computing Consortium, the China Internet of Things Industry Alliance and the Advanced Semiconductor Technology Research Institute.
Mr. Chu Qing is a trail‑blazer in several pivotal technology domains—including mobile communications, integrated‑circuit design and artificial intelligence. He founded the Huawei HiSilicon wireless business team , became one of the earliest pioneers who translated international broadband software‑defined radio (SDR) technology from the research bench to large‑scale commercial deployment , and served as a principal initiator and driving force behind Narrowband Internet of Things (NB‑IoT)—the first 3GPP cellular wide‑area IoT standard—and its global industry ecosystem
