Session Description

Shifting from car-centric to user-centric mobility, consumers now seek more sustainable, flexible mobility solutions including e-mobility, autonomous driving, car sharing, and subscription models.

As autonomy, connectivity, electrification, and sustainability take centre stage, "smart vehicles" goes beyond cars to include smart production, smart infrastructure, and smart networking. Advances in AI, regulation, and technology accelerate the shift to fully intelligent, connected, and self-driving high performance vehicles. In 2024, global battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sales grew 14%, driven by a 20% surge in China1. By 2030, up to 10% of global new car sales could be Level 3 self-driving vehicles, with fully autonomous (Level 4) cars making up 2.5%2. While 60% of current vehicles now feature some level of driver assistance, only 1-2% of 2026 global vehicle sales are expected to include Level 3 autonomy features. China is set to lead the autonomous vehicle adoption, with Level 3 or higher autonomous vehicle projected to make up 90% of sales by 2040.

With autonomous driving and electrification advancing rapidly, mobility companies and suppliers must constantly adapt to stay competitive. In this session, industry experts will share unique insights on innovative connectivity solutions, commercial opportunities, and standardisation that shape the next era of autonomous driving and electric vehicle’s future.
